Ground Zero

'It was the best of times, it was the worst of times'. These are the starter words from Charles Dickens famous novel, 'A Tale of Two Cities'. It goes on:

it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way—in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.

As far as great words are said, these are as good as any to describe a time as now - as it would a time before, and maybe another to come. More so, to begin this blog on a day like this, known as 9 11. Some say it's a conspiracy, others that: one thing's for sure - lives were lost. Coming from a country like Kenya, the reality of wanton murder is real to us. That is not why I write, now. To me, I read the 'tale of two towers' real or imagined, to interpret the bi-polarity of a people and the world at large.

Ostensibly, a lot of lines are being crossed. There seems to be new 'World Order' rising. A flattening of projections; grass sure will grow. This, therefore becomes an observation tower. A point of hope, re-imagination, reflection, encouragement- and most importantly, sharing the bread of life:The Word of God.

Kick it.
